Obituary of Robert Michael Hamon

Robert Michael Hamon passed into the presence of his Savior on Sunday, August 2, 2015. He was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma on December 30, 1943 to the late Cass & Eunice Hamon.

He moved with his family to Victoria, Texas in the early 60's and later enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam War and served as an Army medic. After his honorable discharge from the military he moved to Houston, Texas where he met LaVerne. After their first date they were married ten weeks later.

Throughout is life he has worked. He was employed with Mosher Steel as a cub draftsman, Hudson Products as a squad boss, Dreco as Chief Draftsman, and later retired from National Oil Well Varco as a Lead Draftsman.

 

While a member of Southwest Bible Church, Robert was an Elder & was currently attending Sugar Land Bible Church.

He loved his family and they will always love him. They take comfort in knowing that he had trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and they will see him again.

Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years, LaVerne; Daughters, Stacy Clyburn (Steve) and Christy Bruno (Jason); Grandsons, Mason Bruno, Joshua Clyburn, and Daniel Clyburn; Sisters, Cass Andra Riddle and LuCinda Rivera, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
