I remeber Lawrence from the 7th grade. We moved to Victoria from Marlin, Texas arriving the first week of school 1955. After registering, someone took me to my home room class. It was Mrs. Russell, who taught english. Mrs. Russell had me stand in front of the class and introduce myself, and then showed me to a desk. I sat in front of Lawrence, and he immediately said "Welcome to Victoria." He was the first classmate to ever speak to me, and I will always remember him with a special grin. God Bless you Lawence.
