Tommy died from complications following an auto accident in 2003. We would have been married 42 years the following June. He left Zales Jewelers as Dallas Regional Vice President in 1984 after starting his career as Asst. Man. in Victoria. He always wanted his own business and started Shanks Jewelers in 1985. We had 3 sons who helped me continue our business. Our life brought opportunities neither of us dreamed of sharing. Janene Williams Shanks
Tommy and I had been friends since elementary. We stayed friends all those years. Could not believe he left us so early. Miss seeing his smiling face. Tommy sold Robert and I our wedding rings at Zales in Victoria in 1964. Guess he was the first to know of our pending nuptials. Heaven is all the better for having such a good man.
I knew Tommy very well from about the 9th grade. He and Janene were neighbors of ours back in the early 70's. I would go visit Tommy when he first started working at Zales. I was at Model Market at the time. He is definitely missed by all. Rest in peace Tommy.
